Please install the Claude Code mod "ruflo Mods" (https://github.com/ruvnet/ruflo). Before installing, read the Security and Requirements sections of its README and tell me what it reads and writes, which commands it runs, whether it uses the network, and which Claude Code version, OS and terminal it needs. If everything looks fine, run claude plugin marketplace add ruvnet/ruflo and claude plugin install ruflo-mods@ruflo, then remind me to run /reload-plugins in my session.Send this to Claude Code so it reads the author’s instructions before installing.

Introduction
ruflo Mods is the function-hooks mod in the ruflo repo (plugins/ruflo-mods). It moves work the classic hook scripts did into Claude Code's own process:
- Routing: in an initialized ruflo project (with
.claude-flow/),prompt.submitroutes each prompt and hands the route plus ranked memory to the model as context. - Edit learning: records finished edits for ruflo's intelligence consolidator.
- Tighten-only tool checks: applies ruflo's dangerous-command list and policy rules to
tool.check, never loosening a verdict. - Mod trust gate: names what later-installed mods can do (host commands, network, file writes and more); in
refuse-riskymode it refuses ones not allow-listed. - Budget ladder: with
costBudgetUsdset it announces 50/75/90/100% and can halt new subagents at 100%. - An optional status line and a
$.ruflosegment API other mods can compose with.
The classic hook-handler stays as the fallback; the mod takes an event only where it is handed over, so nothing fires twice. The author says it is on by default from Claude Code 2.1.287, and from 2.1.277 with CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_FUNCTION_HOOKS=1. It mainly serves ruflo projects; elsewhere only tool guards, the trust gate and configured budgets stay active. The preview is illustrative.
Who it is for
- ruflo users replacing classic hook scripts with an in-process mod
- People who want a cost budget on Claude Code sessions
Requirements
- Claude Code ≥ 2.1.287
- 2.1.277–2.1.286 need CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_FUNCTION_HOOKS=1 (author's note).
- Routing and edit learning only work in an initialized ruflo project (.claude-flow/).
