Introduction
Recap Plus is a Claude Code mod that shows the session's purpose and status in a band above the prompt, updated after each main turn and marked (working) during one. /recap-plus or the band's details button opens a pane with purpose, status, the latest 5 done items, 5 decisions, 5 things waiting on you, and what comes next. Summaries are saved per session, restored or rebuilt on resume, and reset by /clear; they follow Claude Code's language setting. After each turn it calls Haiku through the same account and provider as your session, which uses tokens; requests include your request, Claude's final answer, Q&A and selected tool activity (command descriptions, file paths, URLs, search queries), excluding file-read and search results. There is no band-only mode without Haiku calls. Tested by the author on Claude Code 2.1.287; not shown in the VS Code extension, mobile or claude -p. The preview is illustrative.
