Introduction
fast-jev-compaction is a Claude Code function-hooks mod. On /compact and auto-compaction it sends conversation state to TypeSafe Jev, which scores each tool call and result and drops or truncates stale ones while keeping user and assistant text verbatim. It needs a TypeSafe API key. The README targets early-access 2.1.274+ with CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_FUNCTION_HOOKS=1. Not run-tested here. Preview is illustrative.
Who it is for
- People who want compaction that keeps verbatim details instead of lossy summaries
Requirements
- Claude Code ≥ 2.1.274
- README still documents early-access and CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_FUNCTION_HOOKS=1.
- Needs TYPESAFE_API_KEY or the plugin apiKey setting.
