Please install the Claude Code mod "Navigator" (https://github.com/qf-studio/navigator). Before installing, read the Security and Requirements sections of its README and tell me what it reads and writes, which commands it runs, whether it uses the network, and which Claude Code version, OS and terminal it needs. If everything looks fine, run claude plugin marketplace add qf-studio/navigator and claude plugin install navigator@navigator-marketplace, then remind me to run /reload-plugins in my session.Send this to Claude Code so it reads the author’s instructions before installing.
git clone https://github.com/qf-studio/navigator
cd navigator
claude --plugin-dir .Clone the repository and try it in a local session with --plugin-dir.

Introduction
Navigator’s function-hooks mod (same repo also has skills and classic hooks; this listing is the mod only) does context engineering and workflow control: load what you need, guard fan-out reads, and open /nav for context fill, cost, judge output, rejects, and next steps, plus a status band. Author says it does not collect or transmit user data, runs locally, and accesses project files; the plugin mentions auto-update on session start. Initialize per README after install. Marketplace one-step from 2.1.275; in-process runtime and /nav need 2.1.287+. Preview illustrative. Not runtime-tested here.
Who it is for
- People whose sessions crash on context and want gated workflows
Requirements
- Claude Code ≥ 2.1.287
- 2.1.287+ for in-process runtime and /nav; older builds lack the pane.
- Repo skills/hooks are separate; optional language-server plugins.
