Introduction
ModStage is a Claude Code mod that puts Codex, Muse, Grok, Kimi, Qwen Code, OpenCode, Hermes, Antigravity and Claude subagents into one panel: watch tool calls, edits and thinking live, steer or interrupt mid-run, and pick models and effort. Risky actions wait in a Needs-you inbox (deny after 10 minutes); Claude can approve only on your own words. File leases checked at write time keep agents in one folder from clobbering each other, and each session sees only its own agents. A band above the prompt opens it, or use /modstage. Requires Claude Code 2.1.287+ (2.1.286+ in the desktop Code tab), Python 3.10+, and at least one signed-in agent CLI. The author states it is not a sandbox; agents run as you. Based on README and SECURITY; not run-tested by us.
Who it is for
- People with several coding-agent subscriptions who want one session to orchestrate them
- People who want to watch and approve other agents' actions
Requirements
- Claude Code ≥ 2.1.287
- Needs Python 3.10+ (bridge uses the standard library only).
- At least one supported agent CLI installed and signed in.
- Author lists 2.1.286+ for the desktop Code tab.
