Introduction
inbox is a Claude Code mod that gathers what is waiting on you in a session into one place.
- Band: one line above the prompt with the goal, where work stands and how many items wait in
/inbox. It explains stops (expired sign-in, usage limit, API error) with the fix and lists failing tests, type checks or builds. After 15 idle minutes or on resume it expands into a status card. /inboxpane: Needs you (failing checks, questions, your tasks), Findings and PRs tabs. Answer questions with one key, type your own words or ask Claude to explain. Findings are issues Claude records with arecord_findingtool.- PRs: checks merge status, failing checks and review threads waiting on you with
ghevery 2 minutes. - Check tracking: if Claude says tests pass while the latest run still fails, it sends Claude back to run them or say the change is untested.
After each reply it makes one Sonnet call (about 3k input, 500 output tokens) to update the card, and attaches open items to your next message. Built and tested with Claude Code 2.1.292; the PRs tab needs a signed-in gh.
Who it is for
- People who lose track of Claude's questions and tasks in long sessions
- People who want PR checks and reviews tracked inside the session
Requirements
- Claude Code ≥ 2.1.292
- The author only says it was built and tested with 2.1.292; no minimum is stated.
- The PRs tab needs the gh CLI, signed in.
- Each reply costs an extra Sonnet call of about 3k input and 500 output tokens.
