About this mod
Webapp Testing is Anthropic's skill for inspecting local web applications. It guides Claude in writing native Python Playwright scripts to verify frontend behavior, inspect interface states, capture screenshots, and read browser logs after a change.
How it works: identify whether the page is static or needs a development server, inspect the rendered page, locate elements, and perform interactions. The repository includes a helper for managing server lifecycles and examples of common browser operations.
Before using it: you need a runnable local app and the relevant Python and Playwright environment. Choose interactions and assertions for your actual page; a screenshot alone cannot establish that every feature works. Unlike the Playwright MCP entry, this skill primarily guides script-based testing rather than supplying an MCP server.
Who it’s for
- Developers verifying local frontend changes
- People reproducing page interactions with scripts
