Introduction
tool-snake is a Claude Code mod that opens a snake game beside the chat when you send a prompt. Every tool call Claude makes drops food, shown as the tool's first letter in its color: B Bash, E Edit, R Read, W Write, G Grep/Glob; other tools drop a gray chip. Only the main agent's calls count.
- The snake only moves while Claude works. When Claude finishes, the game pauses, the badge flips from LIVE to DONE, and it tells you in a toast and out loud how many you ate: "Claude is done. You ate 9 of its 14 tool calls."
- A 22x12 board stepped every 110 ms with wrapping edges. Click the game to take the keys; arrows or WASD steer,
rrestarts, Esc returns the keys;/snakeopens the pane any time. - Your best score is kept for the session.
Needs the terminal or desktop app; in the fullscreen layout the pane docks beside the chat, otherwise it sits above the prompt. There is no marketplace manifest: the README clones the repo and starts claude --plugin-dir. No minimum Claude Code version is stated.
