Introduction
Coding Pet is a Claude Code function-hooks mod (Japanese UI): /pet opens a pet that gains XP from coding achievements across growth stages, with care actions and a diary. Progress lives in plugin-store JSON. It counts events, not prompt bodies or paths; optional Haiku chatter (fully grown) calls a small model about once a minute and uses your quota. Pixel art and sounds target macOS terminals; elsewhere it uses emoji faces. Verified on 2.1.289. Unlike clawdhouse, focus is cross-session raising. Preview illustrative. Not runtime-tested here.
Who it is for
- People who want a raising-sim pet while coding
Requirements
- Claude Code ≥ 2.1.289
- UI is Japanese. Pixel art/sounds mainly on macOS terminals.
- AI chatter unlocks with growth; can be turned off.
