What it accesses

Reads

Introduction
Usage Bar is a Claude Code function hooks mod (v1.1.0) that puts a live band above the prompt: a row of colored pills for the session's key figures, turning yellow or red when they need attention.
- 5H / 7D limits: bar, pace tick and reset countdown; yellow when your pace would hit 100% before reset, red past 150% pace or 90% used. Hidden off a subscription.
- CTX: context fill, tokens and last turn's growth, plus a live timer while Claude works.
- Git and PR: branch, lines added/removed vs HEAD, untracked files, ahead/behind; the branch's PR state, review and CI via
gh, with a toast when CI finishes (needs GitHub CLI signed in). - COST / TODAY: session spend and burn rate, today, last 7 days and month to date.

Works in the CLI and the desktop Code tab; requires Claude Code 2.1.287+. Figures come from Claude Code's own $.session.usage(); the author states no extra API calls and no telemetry. It runs git status, git diff --shortstat and gh pr view in the session directory and keeps budgets and day totals in the plugin store. The repo also ships a pi version; this entry covers only the Claude Code mod. The repo has no LICENSE file and declares no open-source license; listed per the site owner's decision. Not tested by this site; the preview is illustrative.
