Introduction

Usage Band by Auspexlabs / Michael Zhao is a Claude Code function-hooks mod that shows 5-hour, 7-day and per-model weekly plan meters in the desktop Code tab and terminal prompt area, refreshing about every five minutes. It calls api.anthropic.com oauth/usage with the session credential (same endpoint as /usage); the plugin never sees the token. On failure it keeps the last reading. Needs a subscription plan; API-key-only sessions have nothing to show. Author built/tested on 2.1.286. The site already lists another usage-band by Rishit30G; this is a separate implementation, so the slug is usage-band-auspex. Preview is illustrative; not run-tested here.

Who it is for

  • Subscribers who want live multi-window and per-model meters near the prompt

Requirements

  • Claude Code ≥ 2.1.286
  • Author built/tested on 2.1.286 (not a higher stated minimum).
  • Needs subscription plan windows (Pro/Max/Team/Enterprise).
  • Different repo from the site's Rishit30G usage-band.
