Introduction
Penny Patrol is a Claude Code function-hooks mod that draws context fill, session spend and limit bars above the prompt, with a mascot walking the meters and a rotating tip/joke/good-news line underneath. Spend is attributed per turn to the main chat or subagents, with monthly budgets and cross-session totals in ~/.penny-patrol. By default it fetches about thirteen public feeds (/penny-patrol lines offline disables that); it does not send your session content outward. Needs Claude Code 2.1.289+. Preview is illustrative.
