Please install the Claude Code mod "Mermaid Inline" (https://github.com/dazebug/mermaid-inline). Before installing, read the Security and Requirements sections of its README and tell me what it reads and writes, which commands it runs, whether it uses the network, and which Claude Code version, OS and terminal it needs. If everything looks fine, run claude plugin marketplace add dazebug/mermaid-inline and claude plugin install mermaid-inline@mermaid-inline, then remind me to run /reload-plugins in my session.Send this to Claude Code so it reads the author’s instructions before installing.

Mermaid Inline is a Claude Code mod that draws the ```mermaid blocks in Claude's replies in place. In Ghostty, cmux and kitty (outside tmux) it shows pictures via the kitty graphics protocol with labels at text size; elsewhere it uses Unicode box drawing.
It draws flowcharts, sequence, state, class, ER and xychart diagrams; other kinds or unparsable blocks stay code. Math in labels becomes Unicode text, and it works beside LaTeX Inline. Themes and color overrides are available, terminal font and colors are detected automatically, and /mermaid-inline shows its status. Where it draws pictures it adds a short system-prompt section (teach_claude=false turns it off).
Requires Claude Code 2.1.287+ in a terminal, Node.js 18+ with npm, macOS or Linux; it stays out of Desktop, VS Code and claude -p. Per the author it makes no network requests; a local node process renders and caches PNGs in ~/.cache/mermaid-inline. Copying a reply copies placeholders, not the source. Scores are docs-calibrated, not run-tested; preview is illustrative.
