Please install the Claude Code mod "Leitstand" (https://github.com/dominikmartn/leitstand). Before installing, read the Security and Requirements sections of its README and tell me what it reads and writes, which commands it runs, whether it uses the network, and which Claude Code version, OS and terminal it needs. If everything looks fine, run claude plugin marketplace add dominikmartn/leitstand and claude plugin install leitstand@leitstand, then remind me to run /reload-plugins in my session.Send this to Claude Code so it reads the author’s instructions before installing.

Introduction
Leitstand (German for control room) is a Claude Code mod: when Claude starts a background agent or shell, a list appears above your prompt.
- running / done / needs you: what runs, what finished (kept until your next prompt) and what failed, with elapsed time.
- disk: free space on this machine, warning at 35 GB and red at 20 GB; set
LEITSTAND_DISK_HOSTto measure a remote host over ssh. - context: session token usage; from 250k it turns yellow and suggests
/compact, never compacting by itself. - When one of your hooks blocks a tool call, it shows the hook's name and reason until your next prompt.
- Two themes, loud (default, halftone bars) and quiet (one line);
/standtoggles the list. On macOS a sound plays when long work finishes.
Per the author it runs df every 5 minutes and afplay on macOS; the only network call is ssh when LEITSTAND_DISK_HOST is set; the disk value is shared between sessions through the plugin store. Tested with Claude Code 2.1.288 on macOS; no minimum version given and Linux is untested. The preview is illustrative.
Who it is for
- People who run background agents or long shell jobs
- Users on small machines with tight disk space
Requirements
- Tested with Claude Code 2.1.288 on macOS; no minimum version stated.
- Linux is untested and silent; a remote disk host needs key-based ssh.
