About this mod

Explanatory Output Style is an Anthropic Claude Code plugin that adds brief explanations alongside coding work. It encourages Claude to discuss implementation choices, codebase patterns, and trade-offs so that you can understand the reasoning behind a change.

How it is delivered: the current project uses a SessionStart hook to inject instructions at the beginning of a session. It recreates an explanatory communication style through a plugin, rather than a standalone file in an output-styles directory. Explanations appear as short Insight text blocks.

Before using it: the extra instructions and output consume additional tokens and make responses longer. It suits learning a codebase or following implementation decisions. Follow the author's plugin-management instructions when you want to disable it; explanation quality still depends on the model and task.
