Introduction
cache-tax is a function-hooks mod that arms a keepwarm window, pings with $.model.fork to keep the one-hour prompt cache warm, and estimates cold-write cost before a cold send. /keepwarm arms the window. Install from marketplace karanb192/claude-code-mods (plugin source is this repo). Needs Claude Code 2.1.287+; pings cost tokens. Author documents reach in What it can reach. A separate shell-hook version exists; this listing is the Mod only. Not run-tested. Preview is illustrative.
